About Calacatta Green

Calacatta Green is a precious marble of Asian origin, specially processed in Italy. It has a white background with veining in various shades of green, unevenly distributed for a distinctive, irregular look. As a sedimentary sandstone marble, it contains crystals and grey stones in a nonhomogeneous pattern—considered part of its natural beauty. The top surface is glossy and finished with a water-repellent treatment.

Care Instruction

Use a soft or microfiber cloth and wipe with water and a neutral (acid-free), low-alkalinity detergent. Avoid aggressive or highly abrasive products (e.g., detergents with granules or micro-dust), metal scouring pads, and acid-based detergents. Immediately clean any stains from liquid and/or acidic substances such as fruit juices, wine, vinegar, etc.

About the designer

Mauro Lipparini

Mauro Lipparini's intensive activities in the field of industrial design encompass furniture for both home and office, textiles and other products created for numerous companies in Europe and Japan. The style of Lipparini, based on pared-down forms and clear, vigorous lines, the characteristics of natural minimalism, is heavily influenced by gaiety of spirit, and an intoxicating sense of aesthetic pleasure and creativity. For Mauro Lipparini, design is the inevitable tension between aesthetics and function, art and application. I am ever on the trail of beauty and pleasure with a view to allying form and function. A natural minimalism of pared-down forms, paying particular attention to materials, colours, surfaces, to thick and thin, light and shade.
